Reducing our CO2 footprint - together planting a forest 

When first designing and selling Q-Cap at the start of 2020, we knew that keeping our environmental impact as low as possible was one of our main priorities. We believe businesses of all sizes should give back and we wanted to choose a partner who would best support us to do just that. 

For us, working with One Tree Planted was a no-brainer. As an environmental charity, they are dedicated to creating a healthier climate, protecting biodiversity and helping reforestation efforts around the world. In 2019 they were awarded the People for the Planet Nonprofit Partner Changemaker of 2019, demonstrating their long-lasting, positive impact on our environment through both direct action and community education. 

They work with reforestation partners in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa who help to get trees in the ground; all with the aim to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity. Trees truly are vital for our planet; they help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. They also provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines. 

One Tree Planted ensures that all trees planted are appropriate species for each location, then maintains and monitors the trees for long term survival and lasting impact. Through this strategy, One Tree Planted responds to climate disasters in a positive way that has a tangible environmental, economic and social impact both locally and globally. Their free education programmes empower and equip communities to protect their ecosystems and build better, sustaining futures from the ground up.
